Lisa Matson’s talent, drive, passion and dedication to her art is exceptional.
From the age of 10, Lisa’s world revolved around visual mediums; with an avid interest in art, beauty, photography, fashion, movies and magazines. Before long she was combining all her loves and coercing friends and family into makeovers and backyard fashion shoots.  Fast forward 40+ years and nothing much has changed except her skill, clients and work locations have broadened quite considerably during her 25+ years as a professional.
Her client list in New Zealand is as impressive as it comes.  Over her career Lisa has worked with/for a number of stellar brands including L’Oréal Paris, Lancôme, Shiseido, Coca Cola, Heineken, Reebok, Crocs, Ford, Holden, Sunsilk, TRESemmé, Qantas, Casio, Tip Top, Telecom, BNZ, All Blacks, Silver Ferns and Feltex plus many, many more.
She has also made-over a plethora of well-known NZ personalities from the world of television, film, fashion, music, sports and politics. Her professionalism. perfectionism, sense of humour and care have garnered her long standing relationships with Toni Street, Lorraine Downes, Renee Wright, Hilary Barry, Chelsea Winter and Nadine Chalmers-Ross (to name a few); and it has given her the opportunity to get up close and personal with a myriad of international celebrities - her most memorable being Gabriel Macht (Suits), Quentin Tarantino, Usher and Eva Longoria.
Highly respected for her organisational skills, creative flair and attention to detail Lisa is regularly called upon to design and head reputable beauty, fashion and hair campaigns/shows including NZ Fashion Week, iD and the Breast Cancer Cure Shows, which she also facilitates teams for.  Working Style, Federation, Wynn Hamlyn and Augustine are a few of her established clients.
Lisa’s standing in the industry, combined with her experience and knowledge, has also made her a media favourite.  Lisa's expert advice, beauty writing and/or work is published regularly in leading NZ magazines, newspapers, blogs and beauty sites.  Public speaking and education (for trainee to advance makeup artists) are other ways Lisa likes to pass on her knowledge/expertise.
In recognition of Lisa's fore-mentioned skills cosmetic powerhouse L’Oréal Paris signed her to a makeup contract in 2009 with the title of L’Oréal Paris NZ Makeup Director, a role she loyally and happily upheld for 10 years.
And in 2019 Lisa rekindled her career and love of portrait/beauty photography. Having put photography aside to pursue her passion for hair and makeup full time she has now come full circle and is excited to offer a range of 'photographic packages', that include her expertise in hairstyling, makeup or grooming, styling, creative direction, photography and retouching, to her services – perfect for anyone wanting to put their ‘best face forward’ for business, family or social media.
